Your Chicago 311 calls are wild this week. Guess what's #2?

Okay so, Chi-Town, let's talk about what's really happening at City Hall, because the numbers, they don't lie.

### Your pothole complaints are way up, and aircraft noise is like, off the charts

Nah nah nah, let me explain: the 311 calls, they're always a snapshot of what's bugging us, right? And this week, it's a lot. According to the latest 311 data, "311 INFORMATION ONLY CALL" is still number one with almost 12,000 requests, which, fine, people call to ask stuff. But then? "Aircraft Noise Complaint" is sitting at 7,371 requests. That's a huge jump! People are getting fed up with planes flying over their houses, like, all day and night. And my tía, she lives near Midway, I can only imagine.

What else?

* "Pothole in Street Complaint" is at 2,016 requests – and we all know how bad these streets get after winter. Seriously, it's like driving through a minefield out here, especially on the side streets off Ashland.

* "Graffiti Removal Request" is 1,869 requests.

* "Rodent Baiting/Rat Complaint" is 762 requests. Rats, man. They're everywhere, like, running around Belmont and Fullerton sometimes.

And get this, "Tree Trim Request" says "NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED" with 1,443 calls. What's up with that? Are trees just gonna, like, take over the sidewalks now? You gotta wonder what that means for neighborhoods, especially the ones with older trees that really need that maintenance.

The city's gotta figure out how to handle these everyday issues better. People are calling for a reason, you know? This isn't just numbers, it's our daily life here in Chicago. We gotta keep an eye on how these complaints get addressed, or if they just get swept under the rug.

Chi-Town on the wire — you already know.

The crew on The Morning Wire dives into this every single day — catch it live, mornings.live.
