Chicagoans made 12,749 "information only" calls. What does that mean?

Guess what your neighbors are complaining about now

Okay so, Chi-Town on the wire — you already know. Let me tell you what's going on with your city, right? The latest 311 data just dropped, and it's like, so typical Chicago, you know? The number one service request? Not potholes, not rats, not even abandoned cars. Nah nah nah. It's "311 INFORMATION ONLY CALLS" with a whopping 12,749 requests.

Then, right behind that? Aircraft noise complaints, with 10,484 requests. Seriously, you hear that drone constantly, right? Especially if you're over by Midway or O'Hare, like my primo who lives near Archer. It’s a real thing! Potholes and graffiti, they're like, still there, but not even close to the top two. Only 2,307 for potholes and 2,345 for graffiti removal. It just tells you where people's heads are at, like, what's really bugging them every day.

What to watch next? If those noise complaints keep climbing, especially with summer coming and more planes in the air, you gotta wonder if City Hall's gonna finally have to do something more than just log the calls. People are fed up, mi gente.
