Dallas got 28,884 code calls. What's wrong with your street?

Your neighbors are calling Dallas for help

Look— Dallas on the wire, big hat, bigger story. You know how sometimes you just gotta call someone about that house down the street? Or maybe your landlord is dragging their feet? Well, folks in Dallas are doing *a lot* of that. The latest 311 service request data shows "Code Concern" is absolutely dominating, with 28,884 requests. That’s nearly thirty thousand calls about everything from overgrown yards to unsafe structures.

That number just dwarfs everything else. The next biggest item, "Single Family Rental Needs Registration," only hit 1,290 requests. It tells you that people are really keyed into what’s happening right outside their front door. My *mamá* always says, "Si no te gusta, dilo." And Dallas is definitely saying it.

These aren't just minor gripes, either. Code concerns are about maintaining safety and livability in our neighborhoods, from Oak Cliff to Pleasant Grove. It shows that residents are actively using the system to keep our communities up to snuff. What’s next is seeing how quickly the city can respond to this sheer volume, especially with so many other issues stacking up.

Dallas on the wire — big hat, bigger story.

Y'all, for all the nitty-gritty on what this means for your block, tune in to the crew at mornings.live.
