We’re seeing a significant jump in places that will actually feed us. Think about it:

* **15 new food service licenses** were issued in the last quarter alone.

* These aren't just coffee shops, either; the licenses cover everything from full-service restaurants to specialty food retail.

* The highest concentration is in the downtown core, around Bernard Avenue, and also spreading into the Lower Mission.

This means more options for all of us, from quick lunches to those long, lingering dinners on a patio when the sun finally sets over Okanagan Lake. It’s a good sign for local employment too, and for keeping our dollars right here in Kelowna. Get ready to update your "where to eat tonight" list, because it's about to get much longer.
