Lethbridge City Hall mostly watched the weather this week.

Your City Hall had its eyes on the sky this week

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.

Look, if you were expecting a whirlwind of civic activity this past week, you might have felt a bit like a lone *ponokáómitaa* — that’s a horse, standing out on the prairie, wondering where everyone went. It was a remarkably quiet week at City Hall, with not much in the way of new policy or big decisions to report.

Instead, the main event was the weather, which is, admittedly, often the main event here. City officials, much like the rest of us, were mostly keeping an eye on the forecasts.

Here's what we mostly saw:

* Quiet council chambers

* Minimal new data from the city portal

* A lot of talk about potential weather warnings

Essentially, City Hall was looking up, watching the clouds roll by over the Oldman River valley, just like the rest of us. It was a week for observation, not much for action. This can happen, especially when the spring winds start stirring things up.

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
