Your City Hall was quieter than a prairie Sunday

Your City Hall was quieter than a prairie Sunday

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.

Look, if you were hoping for a week of big decisions and new city directions, well, you probably spent most of your time just watching the clouds, same as I did. This past week at City Hall, it was quieter than a winter morning after a fresh snowfall. The wind, though, it was always a character, just like it always is out here on the prairies, having more to say than council seemed to.

### Not Much Stirred

It felt like everyone was just taking a deep breath, moving at a pace slower than a Sunday drive out to the Kainai Nation. There wasn't much stirring, which isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes, a little quiet means folks are thinking things over.

* No new reports

* No big announcements

* Plenty of wind

This quiet week at City Hall might have you wondering what exactly happened. Sometimes, what *doesn't* happen is the story. It means our municipal leaders might be gearing up for something big, or maybe they just needed a break from the chinook. Either way, Lethbridge is still here, and the land, *Niitsitapi* land, continues its steady rhythm around us.

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
