### Your neighbors just really need stuff picked up, fam
You know how you call 311 for literally everything? Like, your couch finally gave out and you need it gone, or someone dumped a mattress on your block in Boyle Heights, ya sabes? Well, turns out that's what *everyone* is doing. According to the latest 311 service request data, "Item Pickups" and "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" are, like, number one and two on the list. We're talking 8,602 requests for regular pickups and another 7,025 for illegal dumping. That's a *lot* of stuff Angelenos are asking the city to haul away.
It makes sense, right? With so much happening in our neighborhoods, from the Arts District trying to figure out if it's still, well, *artsy*, to the endless construction everywhere, people are just trying to keep their blocks clean. Graffiti removal is still high up there too, with 2,682 requests. It really shows you what people are seeing every day on their streets, like, when they're driving down Sunset trying to avoid those potholes.
What to watch for next is if the city can actually keep up with this demand, because if they don't, people are just gonna stop calling.
