Your neighbors filed 4,816 noise complaints. Can you guess why?

Here's what your neighbors are really mad about

So look—you think you know what’s got New Yorkers hot under the collar, right? Nah, you don't even know the half of it. The latest 311 data? It’s basically a soundtrack to our lives. According to city records, the number one complaint filed through 311 is "Noise - Residential / Loud Music/Party" with a staggering 4,816 requests. Right behind that, it’s "Noise - Street/Sidewalk / Loud Music/Party" at 4,508.

### Why Your Ears Are Ringing

Deadass, we're all just tryna get some sleep. You got your neighbor blasting reggaeton at 3 AM or some impromptu block party goin' off near your window. It’s not just the music either—"Noise - Residential / Banging/Pounding" racked up 2,178 complaints. These ain't just numbers, right? This is the sound of thousands of New Yorkers losing their minds because they can't get a moment of peace.

And don't even get me started on the parking. "Illegal Parking / Blocked Hydrant" and "Blocked Driveway / No Access" are still way up there, showing that even with all the noise, people are still just gonna park wherever they want. It’s a constant battle, and it shows the city ain’t slowing down, not even for a damn fire lane.

That's New York — if you can't keep up, take the bus.
