Philly, your 311 calls aren't about what you think.

Philly, this jawn will make your head spin

Listen, youse know I stay on top of what City Hall is doing, 'cause if we don't watch 'em, who will, or nah? And I'm not even gonna hold you, the latest 311 service request data got me lookin' sideways.

You'd think with all the talk about crime or potholes, that'd be the top concern, right? Nah. It's "Miscellaneous" requests leading the pack, followed by a bunch of "Information Request" jawns. Rubbish/Recyclable Material Collection is up there too, and a lot of "Street Light Outage" calls. It just makes you wonder what all these "Miscellaneous" things are, and what wooder-ice flavor of information folks are asking for. It ain't even specific, so how they gonna fix it?

It tells you a lot about what everyday Philadelphians are actually dealing with – not the headlines, but the everyday stuff that makes living here, well, living here. We're calling about the lights being out on our blocks, trying to figure out why our trash ain't picked up on time, and just asking for… information. That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here. We just want to know what's going on.

This is Keisha Robinson-Moyer, keeping it real in West Philly.

That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
