Hugh Lytle's governor run could disappear from your ballot

Your ballot for governor might look different

Look, here’s the deal— things are heating up in Arizona politics, and I’m not just talking about the pavement on Central Avenue. We just got word that Hugh Lytle, the guy running for governor under the No Labels banner, is facing some serious challenges to get him booted off the ballot. This isn't just a little paperwork mix-up, mijo. This is two separate challenges, filed just yesterday, Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, aimed at making sure his name doesn't even appear when we go to vote.

These kinds of challenges are common, especially when you're talking about a third-party candidate trying to shake things up. It's about ensuring all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed according to election law.

* Two challenges filed against Hugh Lytle, No Labels governor candidate.

* Challenges filed on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026.

* Aims to remove Lytle from the ballot.

What this means for us in Phoenix is that the race for governor could be narrower than expected. Fewer options on the ballot sometimes make people feel like their choices are limited. We’ll be watching closely to see if Lytle can fight off these challenges and stay in the running. That's the Valley, baby — 115 degrees and we're still out here.
