Your Phoenix water woes just got real, mijo.

Your Water Woes Just Got More Real, Phoenix

Look, here's the deal— the news out of City Hall today really brings home what we already feel out here in the Valley. The city released a report this past Friday, May 8th, that pretty much screams what we’ve been whispering over coffee at Matt’s Big Breakfast: the drought, mijo, it’s not getting better. We’re bracing for wildfires and water shortages across the Western states.

This isn't some abstract thing they're talking about in an office with good AC. This is about your yard, your kids’ school, the very air we breathe when a wildfire kicks up out west. We've been seeing the Salt River running lower, feeling the heat island effect more intensely in places like South Phoenix and Maryvale. The report is a stark reminder of what's coming, or what's already here.

What's next? Everyone from the folks in Glendale to the council members down by Roosevelt Row need to keep an eye on how these warnings translate into real action, or real restrictions, for us regular folks.

That's the Valley, baby — 115 degrees and we're still out here.
