Regina City Hall went quiet for five days. What are they hiding?

Your City Hall sure has been quiet, eh?

Hey there, Regina. Darlene Chicken-Lawson here, on the Morning Wire. This is Regina — yeah, we know what it sounds like, and we've heard your joke. Now sit down and listen.

It's been a real *tâpwêwin* of a week down at City Hall, eh? For the last five days, it's just been… crickets.

### What's Up With That, Anyway?

Normally, our City Hall is buzzing like a hornet's nest in July. You've got committees, council debates, new bylaws getting chewed over, eh? But this week? The open data portal's been quieter than a prairie field in January.

* No new permits issued that we're seeing.

* No big announcements about infrastructure projects for the Warehouse District or anything.

* The usual flow of civic data has just dried up.

It makes you wonder, doesn't it? Is everyone on a secret *okâwîmâw* holiday? Are they all just tucked away, planning something huge for the city, or has the system just gone for a smoke break down by Wascana Lake and forgotten to come back?

Whatever it is, for a city like Regina that prides itself on getting things done, this radio silence is a bit unsettling. We'll keep our ears to the ground, though. Oh, for sure.
