Your City Hall was quiet and wet this week
Good morning from the Fundy shore — the tide's turning, and so is New Brunswick. Let's get into it.
I'll tell you what, this past week felt like Saint John City Hall was taking a bit of a maritime holiday, right? Things were quieter than a Sunday morning down on Water Street. We saw almost no new civic data coming through, which is a bit unusual.
It wasn't just City Hall that was quiet, though; the weather definitely tried to make up for it.
* Early in the week, we had those dicey forecasts, right? Special weather statements.
* Then it went full-on active warnings, meaning your umbrellas were busy.
* The rain kept coming, giving those Fundy-side gutters a real workout.
So, while the city's infrastructure was certainly tested by the rain, our local government seemed to be in a holding pattern. Hopefully, next week brings a bit more action and some fresh data for us to chew on.
