Your City Hall was quieter than Mispec Beach in January

Your City Hall really hit snooze this week

Good morning from the Fundy shore — the tide's turning, and so is New Brunswick. Let's get into it.

Right, so if you were keeping an eye on things down at City Hall this week, you probably noticed it was quieter than Mispec Beach in January, eh? We've seen almost no new civic data come through, and that's just plain odd for Saint John. Usually, there's a good hum of activity, even if it's just about potholes or parking permits.

I'll tell you what, it makes you wonder what's cooking, or not cooking, behind those doors. Maybe everyone was just hiding from the rain, which gave our umbrellas a proper workout, right? Or perhaps they’re all just quietly planning something big for next week.

Here’s the gist of it:

* City Hall was unusually quiet.

* Barely any new civic data released.

* The weather certainly didn't help, making it feel extra sleepy.

For now, it’s just a waiting game to see what shakes loose. We'll be keeping our ears to the ground, and our eyes on that portal.
