Your City Hall was a ghost town this week, eh?
Good morning from the Fundy shore — the tide's turning, and so is New Brunswick. Let's get into it.
Right, so if you've been following along this week, you'll know that Saint John City Hall has been quieter than the Reversing Falls at low tide. We’ve been trying to get a read on any new civic data, any movement, but it's been pretty slim pickings. I'll tell you what, it's a bit worrying when the data portals are empty, feels like we’re steering a ship without a compass.
It’s almost like everyone was hunkering down, not just from the wind off the harbour we had Tuesday and Wednesday – it was a real nor'easter, that one – but from... well, from everything.
* No new open data reports to dig into.
* City Hall activity felt minimal, to say the least.
* The weather’s been the biggest news, keeping most folks indoors.
We need more transparency, right? For a city trying to grow and change, a quiet City Hall and empty data feeds just won't cut it. It makes you wonder what’s happening behind the doors, or more to the point, what *isn't* happening.
