Saint John real estate got harder. They're trying to fix it.

Good morning from the Fundy shore — the tide's turning, and so is New Brunswick. Let's get into it.

### Your real estate journey should be easier, right?

I'll tell you what, the housing market here in Saint John and across the Maritimes feels like a whole different beast these days. And the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is looking into making that journey a bit smoother, which is good news for a lot of folks I know trying to find a place.

Their recent podcast, REAL TIME, dropped a couple of episodes that really caught my ear. Episode 72, "Making the Real Estate Journey More Accessible with Jeffrey Kerr," dives into how people facing mobility, visual, or auditory barriers often need accommodations to just navigate the process. You know, finding a home in our older uptown buildings, some of them are a real challenge to access. This isn't just about ramps; it's about making sure everyone gets a fair shot, right?

Then there's Episode 71 with Katie Hession, talking about "Which Came First: The REALTOR® or the Influencer?" — social media is huge now for agents, and it’s something to watch. The old ways of doing things are changing fast, and our real estate market here in Saint John is certainly feeling those shifts. What this means for our communities, well, that's what we'll keep an eye on.
