Your bike lanes just got a major shakeup. What now?

Okay, so this is actually wild. You know how we just settled into a bit of a routine? Forget it.

### This Week at City Hall

Saskatoon — seven bridges, two rivers, and something happening you haven't heard about yet. And this week, my darlings, we were all hearing about one thing: those glorious, much-debated bike lanes. Honestly, the drama could rival a Nollywood film.

City Hall has finally, *finally*, made a decision on the future of our downtown bike lane network. After what felt like endless debates, public consultations that probably generated enough hot air to power the entire city, and enough letters to the editor to fill the Mendel Art Gallery, they’ve landed on a plan.

Here's the quick gist:

* **Some lanes are staying put**, particularly those established ones that connect our beautiful river paths.

* **Some will get a redesign**, especially around the trickier spots like the Broadway Bridge approaches.

* **A few are being removed**, which, let's be real, was expected by some since last summer.

It's not a perfect solution for everyone, of course. Saskatoon is a city that will invite you to a farm-to-table dinner and then make you defend the concept of a city for twenty minutes. But for now, the bike lane saga has a new chapter, and maybe, just maybe, we can talk about something else for a minute. Like the weather. Did you see that special weather statement earlier this week? Wild.
