Your bike lanes just got a break from City Hall drama.

Your bike lanes are finally getting some peace, maybe.

Saskatoon — seven bridges, two rivers, and something happening you haven't heard about yet. This week, my darlings, if you haven't heard about our City Hall, then you must be living under a rock on the South Saskatchewan River bank!

Okay, so this is actually wild. City Hall has been a full-blown Nollywood drama, and guess what was the star? Those bike lanes, eh! For days, it was back and forth, like a bad market negotiation.

* Councillors argued,

* Residents protested,

* And us, we just watched, clutching our pearls, wondering if this bike lane saga would ever end.

But the good news is, for now, a decision has been made. A bit of peace, perhaps, for our cycling enthusiasts. Saskatoon is a city that will invite you to a farm-to-table dinner and then make you defend the concept of a city for twenty minutes, but at least we can (maybe) cycle in peace.
