Your City Hall just voted to feed CampTO kids snacks
Okay but real talk—the General Government Committee just dropped some interesting votes on May 11, and one caught my eye, fam. They voted on an "Amendment to Blanket Contract 47025662 to Avron Foods Limited for the Supply and Delivery of Snack Foods for the Expanded Universal CampTO Child Nutri." Yeah, it's a mouthful, but basically, we're talking about feeding the kids at CampTO.
Councillor Michael Thompson voted yes, and it passed 4-1. Councillor Stephen Holyday was the lone "no." See, these are the little details that actually impact our kids, especially those from Scarborough who rely on these programs. It’s not just about some big shiny tower going up downtown, you know? It’s about ensuring our youth have proper nourishment when they’re in city programs. We gotta keep an eye on how these contracts roll out and if the snacks are actually good, man. No stale crackers for our kids!
Real talk, this is Toronto — stay up.
