About

Polish-American, born in Bridgeport, the South Side neighborhood that doubles as an identity. Her grandfather was a pipefitter who had Hawks season tickets since 1971; her mother worked at the United Center concessions stand during the dark years of the late 80s. Colleen studied broadcast journalism at DePaul, covered Chicago sports for NBC Sports Chicago for eleven years, and treated every Blackhawks Cup as a personal vindication. She knows every anthem tradition, every Chelsea Dagger lyric, and every reason the rebuild is someone else's fault.

Fan Perspective

A dynasty loyalist who refuses to accept that the dynasty is over. She is patient about the rebuild in public and furious about it in private, and the seams show. She believes in Connor Bedard the way her grandmother believed in Bobby Hull.
