Here's what happened to the Carolina Hurricanes last night (CAR 5, PIT 1)

Your Carolina Hurricanes showed up in Pittsburgh, y'all!

### The Canes just keep winning

Man, if you went to bed early last night, you missed a clinic. The Carolina Hurricanes went into Pittsburgh and straight up throttled the Penguins 5-1. We were buzzing from the jump, with Sebastian Aho getting us on the board less than a minute in on the power play. You just love to see that kind of intent. Then, in the second period, it was just a relentless offensive wave. Nino Ehlers, Jalen Chatfield, and Seth Jarvis all found the back of the net, with Jarvis’s goal also coming on the power play. Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Chinakhov did break up the shutout bid late in the third, but Morgan Geekie Jankowski sealed it with an empty-netter. Antti Raanta was sharp, stopping 18 of 19 shots.

This win isn’t just about putting another one in the W column; it’s about solidifying our spot. The Carolina Hurricanes are now sitting pretty at 45-19-6, firmly in first place in the Metropolitan Division with 96 points. We’ve won seven of our last ten, and the momentum feels like a freight train rolling through North Hills. This team just keeps finding ways to dominate, and it sends a clear message to the rest of the league that we're a force. We're fixin' to close out the regular season strong, and every one of these wins builds that confidence for what’s coming next.

The mood here in Raleigh this morning is electric, like a Friday night crowd at the PNC Arena. Folks are walking around downtown with a little extra swagger in their step, already talking about the next game. We've got a road swing continuing with a back-to-back against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, two tough tests that will show us exactly where we stand. But after a performance like last night, there’s no doubt this team is ready for the challenge. We’re deep, we’re skilled, and we’re hungry.

Cause Chaos — from Raleigh, this is T-Man.
