Colorado came to our house and did us dirty, and I'm still not happy about it.
### We Just Couldn't Get It Done
Lookit, it was a rough one last night at the United Center. The Colorado Avalanche rolled in and took a 4-1 win from our Chicago Blackhawks, and honestly, we were on our heels pretty much the whole time. They outshot us somethin' fierce, 49 to 20. Martin Necas got 'em on the board in the first period, and then Brandon Nelson made it worse on the power play. We tried to claw our way back with a nice goal from Wyatt Kaiser in the second, helped out by Reif Greene and Sam Rinzel, which gave us a little hope. But then the third period started with Nazem Kadri gettin' another power play goal just 36 seconds in, and Valeri Nichushkin just poured salt in the wound later on. It was like tryin' to eat a hot dog with ketchup on it — just wrong.
### What Happens Next
This loss stings, especially at home. The Chicago Blackhawks are sittin' at 26-31-12 with 64 points now, still 8th in the Central, which, let's be real, ain't where we wanna be. We've been streaky lately, goin' 4-3-3 in our last ten games, but this breaks that little run. We gotta shake this off quick, 'cause every point matters even if we're "rebuilding." The mood around Bridgeport this morning? It's a little sour, ya know? Everyone knows we're workin' to get back to those glory days, but nobody likes losin', especially not to a team like Colorado.
From da Madhouse on Madison — this is Kozy. Let's go Hawks.
