The Dallas Cowboys just went shopping and we need to talk

They did *what* again, Dallas?

Now listen, I just finished my brisket plate down at Pecan Lodge, and I’m tryin' to stay positive, but this latest move from the Dallas Cowboys has got me scratchin’ my head like a longhorn in a dust storm. Reddy Steward, a defensive back? Don't get me wrong, every piece matters, but a single depth piece at corner ain't exactly the kind of fireworks we were lookin' for to kick off free agency. It feels like we're still just filling tiny little cracks in the foundation when the whole damn house needs a new roof. This ain't "all-in," this ain't "rebuilding" — this is "tinkering around the edges" and hoping for a miracle, which, bless our hearts, has been the Dallas Cowboys' mantra for far too long. The folks out at Miller Lite House on game day are gonna need more than that to get fired up.

After a 7-9-1 season, you’d think Jerry would be ready to make a splash, but it feels like we’re dipping our toes when we should be cannonballing. We’re still hemorrhaging talent, and while I appreciate the diligence, a depth DB isn't gonna fix that defense that got gashed for 511 points. We need a bona fide run-stopper in the middle, a pass rusher who can consistently get to the quarterback, and a receiver opposite CeeDee Lamb who can actually stretch the field. My expectations for next season? Honestly, they're on hold until I see some serious investment, not just these little patchwork efforts. Right now, it feels like we're just setting ourselves up for another Wild Card weekend heartbreak.

Star up, Dallas — we ride.

Y'all gotta hear what the folks on the morning show are cookin' up about this — go on and tune in live over at mornings.live.
