Kiss opening in Detroit is either genius or just wild, right?

This Kiss restaurant is either genius or just plain wild

So let me tell you— I saw this story about the new Kiss Rock & Brews restaurant opening up, right? And my first thought, on God, was "Detroit Rock City, for real?" Like, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, the whole Kiss crew, out here opening a spot that’s supposed to be a tribute to our city. Now, you know I love a good concept, but a rock band known for face paint and pyro trying to capture that Detroit energy? It just feels… ambitious.

But then I thought about it. We are Detroit, and our music history runs deeper than the Motown Museum on West Grand Boulevard. We got the punk, the techno, the blues, the rock and roll that birthed half the sounds the rest of the world copies. Maybe Kiss, with all their theatrics, actually gets that. Maybe they understand that Detroit isn't just one thing. We're a mashup, a gritty elegance, a comeback story with a killer soundtrack. I'm not gonna lie, I'm curious. I might just roll through to see if they got that real Detroit flavor on the menu, or if it's just another chain trying to cash in on our swagger. You know how we do it here.

Detroit on the wire—we don't leave, we rebuild.

You know Keith and the crew are gonna have some *thoughts* on this one — catch 'em live every morning at mornings.live.
