The Green Bay Packers just went shopping and we need to talk

They're really changing things up in Green Bay, ya know, like the way the Fox River changes direction in spring. All these coaching hires and reassignments? It tells me the Green Bay Packers are really trying to build out a strong foundation, not just fill holes. We're talking Bobby Babich taking over secondary/pass game coordinator, and then DeMarcus Covington getting that OLBs/run game coordinator *and* assistant head coach - defense title. It's not about one big splash, it’s about shoring up the whole ship, from the offensive quality control coach T.C. McCartney to the new WRs coach Noah Pauley. Folks in Green Bay, WI, are always a bit skeptical about too much change, but honestly, seeing some fresh faces and new roles for guys like Luke Getsy as QBs coach/assistant head coach - offense, it's got a quiet hum of excitement around the Stadium View bar. It shows a commitment to developing the talent we’ve got, which, for a community-owned team like the Green Bay Packers, is always the long game.

Now, what do we still need? Well, you can't ever have enough talent on the defensive line, ya know? Vince Oghobaase is doing his thing as DL coach, but I think we still need to look for another big body in the draft or maybe a late-round free agent to really plug up the middle. Someone who can eat up blocks and let those linebackers, now under Sam Siefkes, run free. This isn't a "go all-in" kind of free agency, not yet. It’s more of a strategic retooling, making sure all the parts are moving in the right direction. My expectations for next season? I’m feeling cautiously optimistic, like when you order a butter burger at Kroll’s West and you know it’s gonna be good, but you’re still waiting for that first bite. We finished 9-7-1 last year, ya know, and with these coaching adjustments, I think we can definitely improve on that. The path to the playoffs looks a little clearer, and that’s what we want for the Green Bay Packers.

Sixty titles of cold and Lambeau still stands — go Pack go.

Ya know, the fellas on the morning show are talkin' about this every single day — check 'em out live at mornings.live.
