You will not believe what Regina is trying to pull
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories. And some of them, my son, well, they just make you laugh. You ever seen an ad trying to lure you away from the prettiest city on the Atlantic? Regina, Saskatchewan, bless their hearts, just took a shot at us, trying to convince Haligonians to trade their ocean breeze for, well, whatever it is they got out there. It's a tongue-in-cheek ad, they say, trying to get folks to pack up and move west.
The nerve of it, eh? I saw this circulating, and I just had to chuckle. I mean, here we are, enjoying our morning coffee overlooking the harbour, maybe grabbing a donair from King of Donair on Quinpool Road – the *real* King, mind you – and some folks in Regina think they can just waltz in and convince us to leave? Bless their ambitious little hearts. It's like trying to tell someone who just finished a perfect lobster roll at Fisherman's Cove that a hotdog from a prairie truck stop is better. Some good try, but no thanks.

We've got the Citadel Hill, where people actually go for walks and picnics, and Spring Garden Road bustling with life, and Gottingen Street always humming with some new music I've gotta check out later. Why would anyone leave that for… well, Saskatchewan? It's just not going to happen, my son. We're rooted here, from the Halifax Explosion memorial reminding us of our resilience to the vibrant music scene that keeps us going.
