Your Knights tickets might actually be affordable now

SHARE

Good morning from the Forest City — yes, the other London. The one that actually matters to us. Let's get into it.

### Your Knights tickets just got cheaper, finally

Look, I've been covering this city for a decade, and if there's one thing that gets Londoners more riled up than the never-ending BRT debate, it's paying through the nose for a ticket to see the Knights. Or a big concert at Budweiser Gardens. Seriously, it's a Richmond Row problem, a downtown problem, a problem for anyone who just wants to enjoy what our city has to offer without taking out a second mortgage. So, when I heard the province is finally putting the hammer down on scalpers and making it illegal to resell tickets for more than their original price, well, I practically cheered. This isn't just talk, folks; it's a real shift.

Now, I know some of the insiders are saying it's not enough, and yeah, there's always more work to be done. But for us, the actual fans who just want to walk down Dundas Street to Budweiser Gardens, grab a beer, and watch some quality hockey without having to pay triple the face value to some bot-wielding reseller from who-knows-where? This is a win. We've seen so many big acts and even Knights playoff games get gouged, and it just takes the wind right out of what should be a great night out. This move, it feels like the government is finally listening to the people who actually want to support local events and venues.

Here's what this means for us here in London:

* **Fairer Prices:** You won't have to mortgage your house to catch a London Knights game or see that big band at the Bud.

* **More Accessible Events:** Potentially more people can afford to go to events, filling up seats and boosting the local economy on game nights and concert nights.

* **Less Frustration:** No more refreshing Ticketmaster at 10 AM only to find everything gone and then popping up on secondary sites for exorbitant amounts.

This is a step in the right direction for everyone who loves live entertainment in London. It’s about making sure our city's heartbeat – those incredible nights at Budweiser Gardens – stays accessible to the people who live here, not just those who can afford inflated prices.
