You are not going to believe what happened on that Delta flight

So, here's the thing—you know how we Minnesotans, especially us seasoned travelers, usually just shrug off a little turbulence? Like, "ope, just a bumpy ride, probably just going over Wisconsin." Well, walaahi, the folks on Delta Flight 56 from Amsterdam to MSP on Wednesday got a lot more than a little bumpy. Twenty-five people ended up in the hospital right after touching down here in Minneapolis. Severe turbulence, they said. Mashallah, that’s serious.

### What This Means for Minneapolis

It's one thing to hear about turbulence on the news, but when it's your own airport, your own city, your own people getting hurt, it hits different. Think about it:

* Emergency responders from all over the metro, from Bloomington to Richfield, rushing to the scene.

* Travel plans, already a mess for these poor souls, thrown into even more chaos.

* And frankly, it just makes you think twice about that next long-haul flight out of MSP, doesn't it?

It’s a stark reminder that even with all the modern marvels of air travel, Mother Nature still calls the shots. For those coming home to Minneapolis, maybe heading out to their house by Lake Harriet or up to Northeast, it was a terrifying welcome. And for those just passing through, well, it’s a story they’ll tell forever about their unexpected detour in our fair city. Stay safe and stay warm out there, you betcha.

Ope, that's the real Minneapolis — stay warm out there.

You know, my friends over at the Morning Wire dive into these wild stories every day. You should absolutely check them out live at mornings.live.
