How Montreal is feeling about tonight's game

SHARE

This is what Montreal is saying about tonight

Tabarnac, you can feel the jitters all the way from the Plateau to Pointe-Saint-Charles this morning. It’s not just the usual pre-game buzz, c’est plus que ça. People at St-Viateur Bagel, they’re talking about the Carolina Hurricanes like they’re the ghosts of Guy Lafleur and Ken Dryden coming back to haunt us. Our Canadiens, they've been playing good, seven of the last ten, but that last game, *toute une joke*. No one wants to see a losing streak start now, not with the playoffs feeling so close you can almost smell the Stanley Cup parade down Sainte-Catherine Street.

Everyone’s got an opinion, bien sûr. You hear it on the Métro, people are wondering if Caufield is going to find his shot again tonight, or if management is *still* thinking about making moves at the deadline. It’s always something, right? We’re 3rd in the Atlantic, 106 points, but that last loss, it just put a little *doubt* in the air. The Bell Centre will be rockin', for sure, but the mood? It’s a mix of 'go Habs go' and 'oh mon Dieu, what if?'
