You probably woke up nervous but the Canadiens pulled it off
*Tabarnac*, I tell you, this Montreal Canadiens team, they make you sweat harder than a June afternoon on Sainte-Catherine Street. You went to bed last night, maybe you thought we had it wrapped up after that first period, non? Two goals, one from Phillip Danault early, then a power play beauty from Zachary Bolduc, *un vrai but de marqueur*, from Nick Suzuki and Lane Hutson. We were flying, 2-0 up on the Buffalo Sabres. But then the third period, *ça commence à me taper sur les nerfs*. We gave up one in the second from Jordan Greenway, then Rasmus Dahlin ties it up in the third. I almost threw my St-Viateur bagel at the TV, *sacrement*.
But Alex Newhook, *le petit Newhook*, he saves us in overtime. That goal at 11:22, assisted by Alex Carrier, it felt like someone finally opened the windows at the Bell Centre and let some fresh air in. We took the two points, 3-2 in overtime. It wasn't pretty, *non*, especially with the Montreal Canadiens getting outshot 39-25, but a win is a win, *c’est ça l’important*. You got to credit the boys for grinding it out, even when it felt like the Buffalo Sabres were going to steal it.
This win is huge, *mes amis*. We're now at 48-24-10, sitting third in the Atlantic with 106 points. That’s a seven-win stretch in our last ten games. We avoid a losing streak and keep the momentum going. Every point matters right now, *chaque maudit point*. The mood in Montreal this morning? Pure relief, maybe a little grumbling about those third-period jitters, but *on a gagné*, and that's all that matters when you're looking up at those banners in the rafters. *Allez Les Canadiens — Go Habs Go*. This is Amélie Boisvert.
