Last season, we ended up 6-11, barely able to score, giving up points like it was Mardi Gras beads. These feel like depth signings, not game-changers. Nobody's walking down St. Charles Avenue yelling with excitement over a backup running back or a rotational defensive tackle. We need a spark, a *joie de vivre*, not just another body to fill out the roster.

My heart, it aches when I think about what we're missing. Our offense, *mon Dieu*, it looked lost sometimes.
