That New York Jets Draft? We Got Questions, Fam

Alright, New York City, gather 'round, 'cause we gotta talk about what just went down. The New York Jets, they did their thing, or tried to, at least. Was this what everyone was screaming for at Kelly's Sports Bar on the Lower East Side? Deadass, probably not. We were all over here on Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street in Jackson Heights, hopin' for some fireworks, maybe a trade up for a game-changer. Instead, we got… well, let's just say it's gonna take some convincing for some folks to feel real good about this. My dad, God bless him, he's already back to shaking his head and muttering about the glory days. I’m sorry, Pop.

The New York Jets went with [Drafted Player 1 Name] first, and then followed up with [Drafted Player 2 Name] and [Drafted Player 3 Name]. The idea, I guess, is to build from the trenches, shore up some of those gaping holes that had us looking like a turnstile on the offensive and defensive lines last season. No cap, that was needed. We were getting pushed around like a dollar slice at 3 AM. The offensive line, in particular, needed a total revamp, and they definitely threw some bodies at it. But will these guys actually be the answer, or are we just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic again? That’s the real question swirling through the five boroughs right now.

The mood in New York City right now? Confused, baby, just plain confused. It’s like when you order a bacon, egg, and cheese and they give you a bagel with cream cheese instead. It’s not *bad*, but it’s not what you wanted, ya know? People are trying to be optimistic, but that long history of Jets heartbreak ain't easy to shake. So, if I had to grade this New York Jets draft class in one word, it would have to be: Pensive.

From the 7 train to MetLife — Gang Green, we're still here.

My mans Keith and the whole crew on the morning show are gonna be all over this. Don't miss it, mornings.live.
