Here's what happened to the Philadelphia Flyers last night (PHI 4, LAK 3)

Your Flyers found a way to win on the road last night, and you should be happy

Alright, settle down, yous. Woke up this morning and felt good, for once. The Philadelphia Flyers went into LA and stole two points from the Kings, a 4-3 shootout win that felt like a proper Philly fight. Quarter Byfield got them on the board first for LA in the first, but then Travis Konecny tied it up quick in the second, less than a minute in. Kopitar put the Kings back up, but then Noah Cates and Travis Sanheim answered back, putting us up by one. Then, in the third, that jawn Panarin for the Kings tied it on the power play, sending it to a shootout where Cutter Gauthier, this kid is somethin' else, won it for the Philadelphia Flyers. It wasn't pretty, and they only had 20 shots to LA's 25, but they found a way, which is what we do here.

Let's talk about the kids, because they're makin' moves. Matvei Michkov, yeah, that kid, he had two assists. Two! And Noah Cates, he had a goal and an assist. That’s the kind of production you need from these young guns, especially on the road. And shoutout to Travis Konecny for getting us on the board right away in the second, stopping that momentum cold. This team, they get knocked down, they get right back up, like a cheesesteak falling off the grill at Tony Luke's – it might get a little dirty, but it's still good. You love to see it, especially when they’re out there bleeding for the logo.

This win, it ain't just two points, it's a statement. We're 33-23-12 now, 78 points, still clinging to that Wildcard spot, but more importantly, we’re 7-2-1 in our last ten. That’s a hot streak, my friends, and it’s happening at the right time. We’re proving we can win ugly, we can win on the road, and we can win when it matters. Next up, we got a couple more on the road before coming back to the Wells Fargo Center, and the momentum is ours. The mood in Philadelphia this morning? We're walkin' a little taller, ready to talk a little louder.

No one likes us — and we don't care. Mags, MiTL, Philadelphia.
