You won't believe what our old RNC officer just said

Whaddya at, b'y — this is St. John's, oldest city in North America, and we're still here. Let's go.

So, I'll tell ya one thing, b'y, you know Kimberly Power? She was da public face of da Royal Newfoundland Constabulary for ages, always on da news, tellin' us what's what. Well, she up and left da force, and now she's sayin' she saw some "pretty significant issues" goin' on inside. She's talkin' about a "toxicity" dat enabled some real inappropriate stuff, undermined trust in da force, and caused harm. Now, dis ain't just some rumour you hear down on George Street after a few Screech-ins, dis is a former officer, one of da most visible ones, speakin' out about why she felt she had to go.

### What This Means for St. John's

This isn't just a story about one person, b'y, it hits closer to home than you might think. When someone like Kimberly Power speaks out, it really makes you wonder about the institutions that are supposed to keep us safe in St. John's.

* **Trust in our RNC:** Folks in places like da Battery and over on Water Street, they depend on da RNC. If dere's issues like dis, it makes you question how much you can trust da people wearin' da uniform.

* **Public Safety:** If dere's inappropriate conduct goin' on, it makes you wonder if da force is truly focused on protectin' us, or if dey're dealin' wit dere own internal problems instead.

* **Accountability:** We deserve to know dat our police force is accountable to da people of St. John's. When someone speaks out like dis, it puts da spotlight on dat need for transparency.

I'll tell ya, dis kinda news, it just makes you shake yer head. We're a small city, b'y, everyone knows everyone, and when you hear somethin' like dis about da RNC, it's like hearin' it about yer own family. You just want to know dat da people lookin' out for us are doin' dere job right, and dat dere ain't no rot from da inside. Dis is St. John's, b'y, we're better than dat, we truly are.

Da fellas on da morning show are probably havin' a right good yarn about dis one right now – catch 'em at mornings.live.
