I'll tell ya one thing, b'y, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one. You know how sometimes you're scrolling through Facebook, and you see something wild, and you just gotta share it? Happens to the best of us, right? Well, apparently, it even happens to our own elected officials, and da story about da PC MHA from Labrador who 'accidentally' shared a post callin' for Liberals to get a 'shit knockin'' has got me proper baffled. An accidental share? On a post like *that*? B'y, if dat's not a George Street story on a Tuesday night, I don't know what is.

So here's da long and short of it:

* A PC MHA from Labrador apparently hit 'share' on a Facebook post.

* Dat post suggested Liberals "deserve a shit knocking" for their policies.

* Da MHA claims it was an "accident" and he laughed at da suggestion, but didn't actually endorse da violence.

Now, I'm not saying I haven't accidentally liked an old photo or two, but sharin' somethin' dat, b'y? In da Rooms, where people are supposed to be representin' us, you gotta be careful what you're puttin' out dere. It’s like accidentally wearin' your slippers to a formal dinner at da Lieutenant Governor's residence – a proper embarrassment, even if you meant no harm.

This isn't just a laugh, b'y. When our representatives, da people we send up to da House of Assembly, are gettin' caught up in dis kind of accidental digital fisticuffs, it makes you wonder what kind of discourse we're actually havin'. We’ve got enough real issues in St. John’s, from da state of our roads on Water Street to da constant worry about our young people leavin' us for Fort Mac. We need serious people focusin' on serious things, not "oops" moments on Facebook. It's a reminder that even in da digital age, what you share publicly, even if it's "accidental," says somethin' about you and about da kind of conversation we’re havin' in dis province. It’s not just a chuckle over a cup of tea, it’s about respect, b'y.
