They were about accessibility. We're talking about a city where getting to the CRA office isn't just a quick bus ride for everyone, especially when the snow's piled high like the grain at Richardson Elevator. This closing means another barrier, another little piece of sisu you gotta find just to get your papers in order. It's like they forget the sheer distances we deal with up here.

It's not just about losing a drop box; it’s about a feeling that decisions made in Ottawa or Toronto sometimes don't quite get the geography of places like Thunder Bay. For many, especially our elders or those without easy access to internet or transportation, that physical drop-off was a lifeline. Now, what's left? Mailing it in and hoping it gets there through lake-effect snow? Or maybe you're driving all the way from Marathon or Nipigon, just to find out your easy option is gone.
