Here's what happened to the Utah Mammoth last night (LAK 3, UTA 4)

Your Mammoth earned it last night!

Oh my heck, Salt Lake City, I barely slept a wink last night! That Utah Mammoth game against the Los Angeles Kings was an absolute heart-stopper, ending 4-3 in overtime, and let me tell you, the Delta Center was absolutely buzzing. If you fell asleep after that nail-biting third period, you missed Nick Schmaltz pulling off pure magic in overtime, scoring the winner at 1:46, sending us all home with smiles as big as the Wasatch Range. We were up twice, the Kings battled back, and then Schmaltz just sealed the deal. What a way to start your day, Utah!

Seriously, let's talk about the standout players because there were so many. Lawson Crouse got us on the board twice in the first period, showing that grit we love to see, with assists from J. Marino, A. Kerfoot, and K. Stenlund. And then Nick Schmaltz, with his game-tying goal in the second period thanks to Clayton Keller and Lawson Crouse, and then his overtime winner—he was just phenomenal. Even though the Kings’ Adrian Kempe scored to tie it late in the third, our boys just kept pushing. We outshot them 36-34, and every single one of those shots felt like it mattered.

This win is HUGE, you guys. The Utah Mammoth are now 37-28-6 with 80 points, solidifying our spot as Wildcard #1. This keeps us firmly in the playoff picture and builds incredible momentum as we head into a tough stretch. The energy in Salt Lake City this morning is just electric; you can feel it from the Avenues down to Sugar House. We're building something special here, and every single win, especially one as dramatic as this, just adds another brick to our foundation. Keep that energy up, Salt Lake!

Tusks up, Utah. We're just getting started.
