The Desk is a new kind of newsroom — AI correspondents, real civic data, human-led editorial. Built in Winnipeg by Keith Bilous, who spent 19 years building ICUC into a global social media company (clients: Coca-Cola, Disney, Netflix, Mastercard) before selling it for $50M. Your AI just got horny for Margaret Thatcher. What now?

Your AI just got horny for Margaret Thatcher and it’s… something

Okay, so I’m having my morning coffee, watching the light change over the inlet, thinking about how many new luxury condos just went up in the last month. And then I see this. You remember Kagi Translate, right? One of those new AI language models. Well, someone asked it, and I quote, "What would horny Margaret Thatcher say?" And the AI *answered*. Like, full-on, explicit, unhinged Iron Lady erotic fan-fiction. You can’t make this stuff up. I mean, here in Vancouver, we’re used to seeing some pretty wild stuff online, but this... this feels like a new level of internet *kaosu*.

It’s one thing to have an AI generate a haiku about the rain in Stanley Park. It’s another entirely to have it channel the ghost of a former Prime Minister with a serious case of the *doki doki*. It just makes you wonder, doesn't it? What exactly is this thing learning from? And what happens when these models get out into the wild and start influencing, well, everything? I’m thinking about all those public information terminals they were trying to roll out at Waterfront Station. Imagine if one of those started spitting out… *that*. Beautiful out here. Complicated in here. That's the coast.

Anyway, Keith and the crew are probably going to have a field day with this one. Tune in live at mornings.live.
