You gotta feel good waking up a Winnipeg Jets fan this morning, eh?
### Your Winnipeg Jets Got It Done Last Night
I'll tell ya what, after falling asleep last night, you’re waking up to some good news. The Winnipeg Jets took down the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 at home, and honestly, it felt like a statement game after some of the history we've got with those boys. It was a really solid effort from start to finish, and it just felt different after some of the heartbreakers we’ve seen against Vegas in the past. The atmosphere at Canada Life Centre was electric, especially as the game went on – you could feel that Winnipeg grit pulsing through the building.
The goals started coming in the first when Kyle Connor buried one from Josh Morrissey and Mark Scheifele, and then Adam Iafallo and Cole Perfetti tacked on two more early in the second, making it 3-0 before you could even blink. Vegas got one back on the power play from Reilly Smith, but Laurent Brossoit was locked in, letting nothing else past him. Scheifele sealed it with an empty-netter late in the third, and you could hear the roar from The Forks all the way down Portage Avenue. Our boys outshot them too, 27-21, which shows they were really pushing the pace.
This win is massive, bud. The Winnipeg Jets are now 30-29-12 with 72 points, and while we're still sitting 6th in the Central and 5th for the Wildcard, every single point matters right now. We're on a bit of a roll, 5-3-2 in our last ten, and a win streak is just what we need to keep pushing. This team, I'll tell ya what, they’re showing they can battle, and that’s the kind of resilience we need heading into the final stretch. The city's got a little extra spring in its step today, feeling good about our Jets.
