Here's what happened to the Winnipeg Jets last night (WPG 0, DAL 3)

That one was a real kick in the teeth, eh?

The Winnipeg Jets fell flat against the Dallas Stars last night, losing 3-0 on the road. I'll tell ya what, the boys just couldn't get anything going. Dallas got on the board early in the first, with Matt Duchene scoring on the power play, and then Artu Hyry followed that up a couple minutes later. Erne added another for the Stars early in the second, and that was all she wrote. We only managed 22 shots on goal, which just ain't gonna cut it against a team like Dallas. The effort just wasn't there, and it was tough to watch.

This one stings, bud, no two ways about it. We're now sitting at 32-31-12, still in sixth in the Central and hanging on by a thread for that Wildcard #5 spot. Every point matters right now, and to drop this one without even a fight feels heavy. We've been playing pretty good hockey lately, 5-3-2 in our last ten, so this regulation loss kinda throws a wrench in the works. The Jets need to shake this off quick because the schedule ain't getting any easier. You can feel the tension down at The Forks this morning, folks are just bummed out, ya know?

We have a team, though. That's the thing. We have a team.
