Your Dallas neighbors made 29,808 complaints. What's bothering them?

Your neighbors are complaining about a lot of stuff

Dallas on the wire — big hat, bigger story.

Look— if you’ve ever called 311 in Dallas, you know it’s for everything from a busted streetlight to a rogue armadillo. But I got my hands on the latest service request data, and one number just leaps out at you: almost 30,000 requests for "Code Concern - CCS." That's 29,808, to be exact. It absolutely dwarfs everything else on the list. For context, the next biggest category, "Single Family Rental Needs Registration," only hit 1,304 requests. That’s not even a tenth of the code concerns.

What does that tell us? Folks across Dallas, from Pleasant Grove to Preston Hollow, are keeping a sharp eye on things like overgrown yards, illegal dumping, and neglected properties. It’s not just a few folks, it’s a city-wide chorus saying, "Hey, this ain't right." My mamá always says, "Si no te gusta algo, di algo." And Dallas is definitely saying something.

* **Code Concern - CCS:** 29,808 requests

* **Single Family Rental Needs Registration - CCS:** 1,304 requests

* **Consumer Protection Complaint - CCS:** 451 requests

This isn't some abstract policy debate; this is about our streets, our neighborhoods, and how we all live together. It shows that even with all the big projects Dallas is always fixin' to start, like the Trinity River, the day-to-day quality of life stuff is what's really on people's minds. Keep an eye on how our City Council responds to this sheer volume of basic concerns in the coming months.
