Your City Hall has been busy, my son!
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, what a week we've had down at City Hall, eh? Felt like every conversation, every report, came back to one thing: how we get around and where we lay our heads at night. We’re talkin’ real bread-and-butter stuff for folks trying to make a go of it here in Halifax.
The council has been chewing on a few big ideas, trying to figure out how to make life a bit easier, or at least a bit more sensible, for us all.
* They're still hashing out those plans for new developments, especially about how we get more homes built without turning the whole city into one big concrete jungle.
* And bless their hearts, they're always lookin' at how we move about, whether it’s better bus routes or bike lanes that don't make you feel like you're playing Frogger on Agricola Street.
It’s all about making sure Halifax keeps its charm, you know, while still growing up a bit. Hard to balance sometimes, like tryin' to eat a donair cleanly after a night out on Argyle Street. Ha! But they're tryin', my son.
Some good morning, and this is Halifax, and we have stories.
