Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, what a week it's been down at City Hall, eh? Felt like we were getting tossed around more than a ferry in a chop out there on the harbour. One minute we're talking about getting more folks into homes and making sure our buses run on time, the next minute the sky's falling!
It really was a tale of two halves, you might say.
* **Housing and Transit:** Earlier in the week, it was all about the big stuff, the long-term stuff. Everyone at City Hall was chewing on how we're going to tackle the housing crunch and beef up our transit system. Good, solid work, that.
* **Mother Nature's Fury:** Then, buddy, the weather alerts started rolling in. One after another, each one sounding a little more serious than the last. Looks like we're in for a proper East Coast gagger, a real drencher, and that put a bit of a damper on everything else, didn't it?
So, whether you're worrying about a leaky roof or just a leaky umbrella, it feels like Halifax City Hall had us covered this week, some good and some bad.
