Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
### Your real estate journey is getting a new voice
Well, my son, it seems the world of real estate here in Nova Scotia, and across the country really, is getting a bit of a facelift, eh? The Canadian Real Estate Association, CREA, has been talking a lot about making the whole process of buying and selling a home more friendly and open to everyone. It's some good news for folks who might have a harder time with the usual way of doing things.
From what I'm hearing, their "REAL TIME" podcast is going to have Shaun Majumder, the comedian and actor, as the new host in 2025. That's a familiar face for us Atlantic Canadians, and he's some funny, too. They just had an episode, number 72, where Jeffrey Kerr talked all about making sure folks with mobility, visual, or even auditory barriers can navigate the housing market without a fuss. It's about time, I tell you. Nobody should be left out when it comes to finding a place to call home, not with the price of things these days.
This is a real push to consider everyone in the community, from the South End to the North End, and it's something to keep an eye on as these changes start to take hold next year.
That's the word from the harbour this morning.
