Your City Hall was quieter than the wind this week.

Your City Hall had a quiet week, even the wind noticed

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.

This past week, City Hall was quieter than a winter morning after a fresh snowfall. The wind, though, it was always a character, just like it always is here in Lethbridge. It whistled through the coulees, over the Oldman River — or *Mokówan* as we know it, the "Big River." But inside the chambers, things were calm.

Look, sometimes a quiet week means things are humming along behind the scenes, or it means everyone’s just catching their breath. We didn't see any big debates or new policies come up for a vote. It was the kind of week where the biggest news might have been the sudden chinook that rolled in, warming things up for a bit.

Here’s what we saw (or didn’t see):

* No major city council meetings that stirred up the usual discussions.

* The open data portal didn't offer much in the way of new information.

* It felt like the city was just... observing.

It felt like the kind of week where the big decisions were being quietly considered, maybe over coffee at the Penny Coffee House, rather than debated loudly in council chambers. For us in Lethbridge, it was a week to just breathe and watch the sky.

Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
