Los Angeles is drowning in 16,000 trash pickup calls. What gives?

Your neighbors really need stuff picked up, no mames.

Okay so check it—your city, our city, Los Angeles, fam, is literally drowning in requests for trash pickup. You know, like when you see that old couch just chilling on the curb for days? Yeah, that. According to the latest 311 service request data, "Item Pickups" and "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" were the *top two* issues, combined for over 16,000 calls. Sixteen thousand, you guys! That's more than double the requests for graffiti removal, which was still super high at almost 7,400.

It just shows you what people actually need taken care of, ya sabes? It's not the fancy new developments that are always popping up on the Westside; it's the basics. People are calling because their streets are getting trashed. It makes you think about where our resources are really going, no? We gotta keep an eye on how the city responds to this, because it's literally affecting our neighborhoods every single day.

That's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
