LA just made 16,190 cleanup requests. Will yours get answered?

Okay, so check it—

### Your street might get clean faster, finally

Oye, so remember how you're always calling 311 about that random mattress on the corner or the couch that just *appears* out of nowhere? Like, we all do it. The latest data for 311 service requests is out, and guess what? "Item Pickups" and "Illegal Dumping Item Pickups" are, like, literally the top two things Angelenos are asking for help with. We're talking 8,478 requests for just regular item pickups and another 7,712 for illegal dumping, according to the city's 311 portal. No mames, that's a lot of junk.

It totally makes sense though, right? You see it everywhere, from Boyle Heights to the Valley. It’s a constant battle, ya sabes. What’s interesting is that "Information-Only" requests are super high too, with over 10,000 combined, which makes you wonder what people are trying to figure out. But this focus on clean-up means the city *has* to prioritize it. Hopefully, this data pushes them to actually get those crews out faster.

That's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
