Your neighbors called 311 over 5,900 times about parking.

Your neighbors are fed up with parking, deadass

So look—we talk a lot about what goes on in City Hall, but what about what's actually bugging folks out on the street? The latest 311 service request data just dropped, and lemme tell you, it's a symphony of honking and banging.

Here's the thing: out of nearly 17,000 total requests, illegal parking and noise complaints are absolutely dominating.

* Illegal Parking / Blocked Hydrant clocked in at a whopping 3,045 requests.

* Right behind that, Illegal Parking / Posted Parking Sign Violation had 2,866 requests.

* Noise complaints, both residential and street, made up a huge chunk too, with loud music and banging adding up to over 7,000 calls.

That's New York — if you can't keep up, take the bus. People are deadass calling 311 more about a double-parked car than they are about potholes (only 2,034 requests, surprisingly low for some of these Queens boulevards, right?). It tells you what residents are dealing with every single day, trying to navigate these blocks. Next time you're stuck behind some yahoo blocking a crosswalk on Roosevelt Avenue, just remember, you're not alone.
