The latest building permits issued by the city show a pretty significant investment in new residential construction. Specifically, Permit #BP 9NEW 24-5505, for a new two-storey detached dwelling with a finished basement and walkout at 865 Aviation Road in Ward 1, clocks in at a hefty $2,066,986. That's a serious chunk of change for one residential build. For context, we also saw a commercial interior alteration for Tim Hortons at 780 Bancroft Drive in Ward 11 for $84,619, and an industrial alteration at 5900 Keaton Crescent in Ward 5 for $1,556,164.
