Your city just got a real estate market upgrade.

Your City Hall wrap-up for the week

Here's the thing about Peterborough, the currents of civic life sometimes weave in unexpected ways, and this week, it felt like two distinct streams were running through our city.

On one hand, we had a lot of chatter about the real estate market. It seems like the Canadian Real Estate Association has been making waves, pushing out resources to help folks navigate buying and selling here in the Electric City. The message I'm hearing is about making that journey a bit smoother, a little less like paddling upstream against the current.

Then, there was the weather. A couple of times this week, it felt like Mother Nature was threatening to spill over. We had those special weather statements, warnings of potential messes on the roads, making us all keep an eye on the sky before heading out towards the Lift Lock or down George Street. It's a reminder that even in our quiet city, things can shift quickly.

It felt like a week of preparation, really – preparing for weather, preparing for big life changes like finding a new home.

This is the Electric City — small town, big current. Let's go.
